New Masonry and Restoration
MGC Group works hand-in-hand with masons to clean and restore brick and stone surfaces throughout the province.
Québec’s heritage abounds with masonry monuments and buildings that we have been cleaning with pride for many years. Our techniques do not damage the finish of the brick and the stone (patina, baked layer) and respects the most stringent environmental standards.
- Facade refurbishing;
- Air pollution, carbon cleaning;
- Washing of new masonry;
- Limestone rock;
- Rust stains, verdigris;
- Stripping and cleaning of glue, tar, paint.
This process makes it possible to treat a masonry surface, mainly stone. This consists of the low pressure spraying of a mixture of abrasives given using compressed air. The choice of abrasive will depend on the hardness of the surface to be treated as well as the desired finish. Several air dryers are available in the MGC Cleaning Group’s equipment fleet.
- Clemco (power gun)
- IBIX – Modèle 25
- Low pressure air scrub
Masonry washing is one of MGC Nettoyage Group’ specialities. Over the years, we have worked very hard to develop working methods adapted to different types of masonry in order to always clean it as best as possible without damaging the surface.
